No-Surgical FAQs

Any form of in-clinic procedures, whether it’s a basic facial or a filler, needs to be customised to your face and its needs.

A non-surgical nose job or a nose filler is an in-clinic procedure wherein we evaluate your current nose, measure it and understand how we can re-shape it in the best way possible for your overall face shape.

We make use of liquid fillers to inject areas of your nose that need lifting to create the perfect nose for your face shape and one that works in tandem with the rest of your features.

We can also use threads to lift your nose or to narrow the width of your nostril flair, and botox to reduce the tip of your nose from moving downwards when you smile and narrow the nostril flare

When we do a non-surgical rhinoplasty, we look at the bridge of the nose, dorsal humps (the bumps on the nose) also called the nasal bridge, the nasolabial angle and also the angle between the nose and the chin.

All of these things allow us to design a great nose with non-surgical options like fillers as opposed to an invasive surgery. With fillers we can easily improve the angle of the nose bridge.

For example:

  • If it’s too sharp we can make it smooth and gentle.
  • If there’s any dorsal humps or bumps we can fill them in

In fact, when something looks less bumpy and more smooth, it also looks less wide.

The bumpier it is, the more your eye is attracted to the bump making it look wider. The options are endless, and more importantly, customised to your specific face and needs.

After your consultation, we design a new shape for your nose and also decide the number of sessions you will require to complete the treatment.

While we can do so in one session as well, we prefer doing it over at least two sessions which gives you time to get used to the new shape.

We may also do it over three sessions in case we need to make a few more adjustments or look into finer details after two sessions are complete.

If you’re a first-timer, we recommend doing it over at least two sessions to ease you into the idea of getting a semi-permanent treatment for your face.

If you find that you’re not happy with the results, we can also reverse the bits you’d like changed or the entire treatment altogether. The procedure is a lot more comfortable than you’d think.

We numb the area and then inject your nose with fillers which takes between 10-20 minutes.

The areas that are targeted for a non-surgical nasal rhinoplasty depend on the requirements on your nose. If we need to lift a drooping nasal tip, we will work only on filling that area to push it upwards like a cartilage graft.

This makes your nose appear more aesthetically pleasing without the need of any invasive surgery at all.

If you’d like to smoothen the entire nose and get rid of all bumps, we will need to use the filler over the entire length of your nose.

We can also use fillers to create a makeup-like effect, just like you use a highlighter along the centre of your nose to make it look more narrow.

When we use a thin vertical line of the filler down your nose, the filler makes your nose reflect light just like a highlighter and makes it appear more contoured without you having to use any products.

Consider it to be the “I woke up like this” adage come to life.

If your nose to chin angle is too large, the nose projects forward more than the chin, we can project the chin instead—we call this the Tinkerbell lift.

We look at your nose from the front and the side profile view. Adding a filler to your chin if your nose is too large makes your nose appear smaller and more proportionate.

While we can do so in one session as well, we prefer doing it over at least two sessions which gives you time to get used to the new shape.

When cosmetic treatments are in question, personal choice plays a huge role. If you’re unhappy with the way your nose looks—it may seem wider than you’d like, drawing attention to it or could even be more prominent than your chin—we’re here to make it look more suited to your face.

Since this is a cosmetic treatment and not one to heal a medical condition, anyone looking to alter and improve the way their nose looks is the best candidate for it.

Note: Nose fillers are not recommended for pregnant women.

There are no risks involved when conducting this non-invasive procedure and it does not have any side effects apart from possible temporary swelling and bruising.

Your nose will require two weeks to completely settle down and it may also take you a few days to get used to seeing yourself with the new shape after it has.

After the treatment, expect temporary redness, swelling and possible sensitivity that should subside within 24 hours. Since the treatment only involves us injecting a filler into your nose as opposed to any incisions, you should be able to resume regular life within a couple of days.

For your nose filler, prepare by avoiding green tea and Omega-3 fatty acids from foods such as seafood, nuts and seeds and plant-based oils a day prior to your treatment.

Pros and cons of non-surgical nose fillers

Pros

  • The treatment is as non-invasive as it gets for a nose job.
  • It is a fairly quick procedure, even faster than a lunchtime facial.
  • The results are semi-permanent, leaving lesser room for error and a faster turnaround time in case you’d like to make further changes.
  • It is a cheaper alternative to plastic surgery.

Cons

  • It requires upkeep and will possibly need to be touched up every 6 months since the fillers dissolve into your skin overtime.
  • A nose filler does not last as long as a surgical nose job.

Pros

  • Surgical nose jobs provide long-lasting results.
  • There is minimum to none upkeep involved.
  • It is possible to completely restructure your nose with more detailed results as compared to a non-surgical rhinoplasty.

Cons

  • Traditional nose jobs come with longer downtime to heal than a non-invasive procedure.
  • Since this is a permanent change, it can be painful to undergo as well as to alter, should the need arise.

A non-invasive nasal rhinoplasty is not painful at all since we numb the area before we treat it. The procedure only lasts for a short duration and is done as swiftly as possible ensuring that you won’t be uncomfortable for long, even if it is your first time.

The procedure takes between 10-20 minutes depending on the amount of work your nose requires. The complete results of the treatment take about two weeks to show.

The nasal fillers last between 1-2 years, sometimes even longer. We recommend getting a touchup in six months if a little deflation occurs, which is a rare situation.

Nose fillers are not safe for pregnant women.

You may experience a small amount of bruising right after and mild swelling that lasts for a few days.

We recommend not exercising for 24-48 hours after the procedure and in case you spot a bruise, you can use a concealer to cover it up for a quick fix till it heals.

In the case of bruising, we also teach you how to conceal it right so the bruise goes unnoticed by people around you.

You can also take and apply arnica on your bruise to speed up the healing process. Lastly, we’re happy to offer you a free of cost Photo HD treatment to make your bruise go away faster!
