LHR for PCOS
It’s simple for some people to remove hair with a laser. Although it varies based on the treatment location, skin tone, and hair thickness, it’s not always easy to determine how many sessions are required to achieve complete hair freedom. For those with PCOS, this is usually the case as they may require more sessions with high frequency and customized energy. Those suffering from PCOD may also benefit from adopting additional and alternative therapies such as lifestyle changes and vitamin supplements as these can complement hair reduction in a more positive and enhanced way. A common endocrine problem called hirsutism, which affects around 10% of women of reproductive age, may be the cause of excessive facial and body hair development. Women suffering from PCOS/PCOD usually face this problem of hirsutism. Hirsutism is a hair disorder that affects females with an excess of terminal hairs that have a male pattern of distribution, such as the cheeks, chin, upper lip region, chest, upper back, and belly. These are body locations where high levels of the hormone androgen are required for hair growth.
At Isya, We have customized protocols to deal with such tricky and stubborn hormone-induced hair growth. Most clients typically require 6 – 12 treatment sessions spread out over intervals of 4-6 weeks. Laser Hair Therapy involves no downtime with minimal pain. However, mild redness may occur post-treatment.
At Isya, we work along with you holistically to minimize the number of laser sittings required to see visible results, relative to other clinics since we take a results-oriented approach. Typically many of our clients require even less than a 6-12 month interval for maintenance of results.
